Here are the entries for the Fresh Faces Contest!  Now, we need your vote to choose the winner!  The winner will receive a complementary session completely stylized by me.  I’ll choose the location and even buy the outfit.  The winner will receive an 11×14 image of their choice!

Remember when Demi Moore posed on the cover of Vanity Fair?  Since then expectant moms have felt sexier, stronger, and more confident in front of a camera.  So, why should you have a maternity session?

1. You’re beautiful!  Yes, you are!  You may feel like your chest is going to explode, and you’re not sure about the size of your thighs (since you can’t really see them anymore!), but you are beautiful!  A professional photographer knows how to hide the areas that you’re not comfortable with (shadows are our friends!).  I know your insecurities and I know how to make your beauty shine!

2. You will NEVER be able to go back and say…I wish I had.  There are many milestones in our lives that will never be repeated…they are unique experiences.  Your pregnancy…from the plus sign on the stick to the first kick, from the contractions to the delivery….is unique.  That’s why a professional portrait is so important.  It will capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment.

3.  Your maternity image will become your most personal work of art.  It documents the vitality and beauty of motherhood, and it is your child’s first family portrait.  What a wonderful gift for your son or daughter to see where their story began. 

4. You’ve come a long way, baby!  Maternity fashions have gone from concealing the evidence under frumpy, tent-like material, to highlighting a pregnant belly with pride.  Outfits are more fashionable, revealing and figure-hugging. Likewise, expectant parents have moved beyond the occasional snapshot.  By having a professional maternity portrait, you will receive to give you the images you deserve!

This is “G” whom I’m certain will see her name in lights on Broadway!  Not only is she beautiful and talented, she’s got a personality that brightens a room.  It was nice meeting you “G” and remember me when you hit it big!

I absolutely LOVE this pose! Nothing like daddy’s button down and a pair of jeans. This is “S” and her son “C” (and yes they knew he was a boy!). Even though “C” decided to make an early arrival, I’m glad to hear that he’s now growing like a weed! Congrats to the “S” family!

To celebrate the new blog, Laliberte Photography is having a Fresh Faces Contest!!!

If you have a child between the ages of 6 months and 12 years of age and have not had a session with Laliberte Photography within the last 12 months, submit a recent photo (taken within the last six weeks and preferably a close-up) to this email. Be sure to put FRESH FACES in the subject line.  Please include your child’s name, date of birth, and contact info (grandparents, you must have permission from parents to enter your grandchild). If someone referred you to the contest, make sure you include their name!  Contestants names will not be publicly announced for privacy reasons and only a number will be used to identify the contestants.

Entries close February 24, 2009 at midnight EST.  Images will be posted on the blog and voting by the public will begin on March 1st and run until March 15, 2009.
Entries are limited to 20 entrants, so enter quickly!

What does the winner receive?
The winner receives a complimentary photo session and one 11×14 image of your choice from the session.  The only catch is that the session is totally styled by ME!!  That means I pick the location (could be studio or could be on location) and I buy the clothing (thinking something fun and fresh)!  So, the only thing the winner needs to do is show up! How cool is that???

But wait… My kids don’t qualify!!!
So you’ve had a session within the last 12 months, or your kids are not between 6 months and 12 years.  That’s okay! We still need you! Just forward this information to all of your friends and if they are one of the winners you will receive a $100 portrait gift certificate to use at a future portrait session!

The small print:

•By entering the contest you agree to sign a model release on behalf of your child. The model release allows us to use the photos from your session on the website, blog, or any other marketing materials.
•Child(ren) entered must not have been photographed by us within the past year.  If you have had a session with us on or before January 2008, you may enter.
•One entry per child.  If you have more than one child you may enter them individually as separate contestants. However, the winning session will be limited to the winning child only.  The winning session is non-transferable.
•Standard session policies apply.
•Submitted photos must NOT be from a professional photographer.
•Photos previously taken by Laliberte Photography are not eligible.
•Entrants may be from anywhere; however, the winning entrant must be willing to travel to our studio to complete the session.
•We reserve the right to disqualify or deny entry to anyone. This includes any clients who are banned from booking because of copyright infringement, outstanding balances, etc.

The Fresh Faces winner must book their session within 6 weeks of being named the winner.  The session must be completed before September 15, 2008.

Meet “K” at less than a week old!  After making his family wait an extra week for his arrival, he was in no rush to fall asleep for me!  With a little extra in his belly, he was soon sound asleep and the magic began.
