Meet Miss “L” who won our first “Fresh Faces Contest”. She had the sweetest personality and was so generous with her hugs! Miss “L” was so patient with her mom and me as we changed her outfits at least 6 times. She had just learned to walk and it was so much fun watching her cruise around the studio! Thanks again to Miss “L”’s mom for entering her little peanut into the contest…it was a joy working with you!
I had the pleasure of going to Barrington Books on Thursday for their weekly Story Hour. Every Thursday at 10:30 am author Anika Denise entertains children with several children’s stories, music, and a craft. Thursday’s theme was “A Summer Beach Party” and the store was decorated with a swimming pool, beach balls, and seashells. The children munched on Goldfish crackers while wearing Hawaiian leis.

Might seem like an unusual question to ask on a photographer’s blog, but blood donation through the Rhode Island Blood Center is something I routinely do. It’s not as painful as you’d think and it only takes about 1/2 hour of your time. The most tedious part is the preliminary paperwork and blood testing. The actual donation can be as fast as five minutes! And you get to have some yummy cookies and juice after your donation! So, I’m encouraging you to Give Hope, Give Life, Give Blood by calling the Rhode Island Blood Center at (800) 283-8385.
If Oprah can have her Favorite Things, I can too! Every Friday I’ll post something that is a favorite of mine. It may not be as elaborate (or expensive!) as one of Oprah’s picks, but it’s still something that I think is a great product! So, without further ado (drumroll, please) my first Friday Favorite is Carmex Lip Balm!
I have about a gazillon tubes of this stuff…in my car, in my bag, in the studio, in every room in the house (ok, you get the idea!). It has SPF which is very important, it gets rid of chapped lips in a jiffy, and best of all it’s inexpensive!
I’ve been busily proofing the images from my pre-school picture day session. I just wanted to share this image of “J” who was not too sure he wanted to have his picture taken. After a very nice conversation about dinosaurs, I was able to catch this little grin. Don’t you just want to hug him!!!
Here’s a sneak peek of Miss “K”’s school picture. I spent the other morning at a great pre-school and met some very funny, sweet, artistic kids! I’m sure some of you are thinking, “My kid’s school picture doesn’t look like this!!!” What I offer is a fun photo session that will capture your child’s personality. And, here’s a sneak peek of “S”, whom I’ve photographed many times before! When he was last in the studio, we did a Christmas card session with “S” and his little brother in their pajamas. When I asked him why he wasn’t wearing pajama’s today, I got the best little grin!
